Electronics Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative electronic products. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical/electronic solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to meet project timescales.

The Role
  • Design and develop electrical/electronic solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and OEM customers to define user interface needs and document technical requirements.
  • Design both analogue and digital electronic systems, identifying suitable design solutions and taking responsibility for their interface and operation.
  • Develop firmware and user interface software across a range of products.
  • Perform defect analysis, debugging, and problem-solving, as well as configuration management and version control.
  • Program a wide range of communication protocols and integrate and test electronics and software with mechanical hardware.
  • Prepare test specifications for use in Development and Production, ensuring compliance with safety and legal requirements.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Proven experience in new product development in a similar manufacturing environment, with a portfolio of products designed and launched to market.
  • Ability to mentor and train junior engineers, with a strong focus on knowledge sharing and development.
  • Practical experience in developing analogue and digital electronics, with competence in PCB design using Altium and SolidWorks.
  • Programming experience using embedded C, C++, or QML, with Linux experience an advantage.
  • Ability to analyze field failure trends and manage obsolescence, with a logical and methodical approach to work.
  • Strong understanding of processes and process boundaries between departments, with the ability to identify and remove roadblocks.
