We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Senior Support Worker to join our dynamic team at a 6-Bed Residential Home for children and young adults aged 5-18 in the Swindon area.

About the Role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of support workers to deliver outstanding care and support to our residents. You will develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each young person, fostering a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a team of support workers to deliver exceptional care and support.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each young person.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for residents and staff.
  • Provide hands-on support with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and social activities.
  • Monitor and document young people's progress, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Support effective multi-agency working and positive relationships with staff, the local community, local authorities, other professional agencies, and significant others involved in the young person's life.
  • Conduct training and development sessions for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Promote and encourage the participation of young people in the decision-making process of the home and the wider community, and assist in seeking information and advice from appropriate sources.
