About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Bidwells for a contract between 3-6 months. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure management and a proven track record of delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain all aspects of on-prem and cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Support and oversee all aspects of infrastructure operations across all sites, including regional offices.
  • Provide technical support through Incident, Change & Problem Management procedures, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Maintain the operation of system environments, including upgrades of platforms, OS, and infrastructure, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Administer existing outsourced VMware and cloud infrastructure, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Manage storage capacity planning, retention, backups, and recovery management to ensure business continuity.
  • Manage Citrix estate and patch management for desktops, servers, networking equipment, and all other hardware.
  • Administer Active-Directory, M365, Exchange, and SCCM infrastructure, ensuring secure and reliable service delivery.
  • Undertake proactive, scheduled maintenance work and upgrades to improve infrastructure performance and efficiency.
  • Support 1st and 2nd line service desk colleagues with escalated tickets, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Undertake project work, including design and service improvement work, to enhance infrastructure capabilities.
  • Perform other duties as designated by the Senior IT Management Team, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Information Security Team to ensure all infrastructure is secure and protected, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
About You
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with proficient attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality services.
  • Experience with Windows Server 2012 through to 2022, virtualization, VMware, or Hyper-V, and HP & Aruba Network Switch Patching, Management, and Configuration.
  • Confident in fault diagnosis across technologies and platforms, with experience of rectifying faults within established SLAs.
  • Experience operating in a change control and configuration management environment, with a strong understanding of ITIL principles.
  • Ability to competently act as the technical point of contact for escalation, ensuring timely resolution of complex issues.
