About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Apollo Home Healthcare. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality, one-to-one care to our service user, a young girl with complex care needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting, in a safe and dignified manner.
  • Assist with medication administration, including monitoring and recording medication usage.
  • Support with moving and handling, including transferring and repositioning the service user.
  • Engage in activities that promote social interaction and stimulation, such as arts and crafts, walks in the park, and hydrotherapy.
  • Observe and report any changes in the service user's condition, including any signs of illness or injury.
  • Work collaboratively with the service user's family and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless and effective care plan.
Requirements
  • 3 months previous care experience, including personal care, moving and handling, and medication administration.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
