Job Title: Children's Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Children's Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Apollo Home Healthcare. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care and support to our service user, a young girl with complex needs, in her own home.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work without direct supervision, providing personal, social, and domestic support to our service user, while adhering to her individual care and support plan. This role is ideal for an experienced care assistant looking to expand their skills and knowledge in complex clinical care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Support with moving and handling, including transfers and repositioning
  • Administer medication as required
  • Manage epilepsy and PEG feeding
  • Observe and respond to our service user's clinical needs during the night
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3 months previous care experience
  • Personal care skills, including moving and handling
  • Medication administration skills
  • Epilepsy management skills
  • PEG feeding skills
