Lead Procurement Analyst - IT Sourcing and Contract Negotiation


The Lead Procurement Analyst will primarily engage in the organization's procurement operations, assisting the Procurement Manager in the continuous enhancement and execution of existing procedures and commercial partnerships.


Focusing specifically on IT sourcing and vendor management, the incumbent will ensure that all interactions with new suppliers adhere to the organization's standards and due diligence protocols.


The role will involve reviewing contracts and commercial agreements, supporting the Procurement Manager in evaluating, benchmarking, negotiating, and, when necessary, aligning agreements. This includes the organization and management of related documentation, tracking relationship histories, and maintaining ongoing discussions with suppliers.


The Lead Procurement Analyst will also play a vital role in any new or ongoing RFI and RFP initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with procurement processes for the IT department, applying all governance and due diligence when assessing or onboarding suppliers.
  • Assist business units, IT teams, and project groups in supplier engagement and onboarding procedures.
  • Track renewal timelines to facilitate timely renegotiations and support the RFP process as needed.
  • Collaborate with supplier relationship managers to provide guidance and support in ongoing vendor management.
  • Coordinate with Risk, Compliance, Information Security, and Finance teams to ensure thorough vetting of new suppliers prior to onboarding.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in IT procurement or a similar centralized procurement team focused on IT sourcing.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex contracts effectively.
  • Experience within a procurement function in a multinational organization.
  • Strong understanding of standard business accounting practices and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a talent for identifying discrepancies in supplier pricing proposals.
  • Familiarity with various software licensing models, including public cloud services.
  • Confident decision-making skills and ability to provide sound recommendations.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of articulating ideas and proposals in an accessible manner.
  • A commitment to maximizing both cost efficiency and value in agreements.
  • Highly self-motivated with a keen eye for detail.
  • Able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, geographically dispersed team setting.
