Senior Safety Manager, Cosmetic Expert

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Safety Manager to join our team at Liz Earle Beauty Co. as a key member of our Product Innovation department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team responsible for assessing the safety of products during Innovation and New Product Development (NPD) and throughout their lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain safety frameworks that efficiently support both in-house and supplier development routes.
  • Apply scientific expertise to drive continuous improvement of products and protect the brands and business.
  • Represent the company on expert committees and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Train technical and commercial teams on basic safety knowledge to ensure awareness of the importance of safety for customer protection.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications and experience that meet the regulatory requirements for a Safety Assessor.
  • Higher qualification in one of the following disciplines: Pharmacy, Toxicology, Medicine, Dermatology.
  • At least 5 years' experience of safety assessment in FMCG, the chemistry industry, with cosmetics experience being an advantage.
  • Outstanding technical capabilities and able to represent the company externally within scientific committees.
  • Strong business partner cross-functionally within the business.
