Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our team at Caravan Covent Garden. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in leading the culinary team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas, ensuring they align with our brand values and customer preferences.
  • Team Leadership: Support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen team, providing guidance and training to ensure excellent food quality and presentation.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the management of kitchen inventory, including ordering and stock control, to minimize waste and optimize costs.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes meet our high standards of quality, presentation, and taste.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer feedback and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Qualifications: A culinary qualification, such as a City & Guilds or NVQ, and a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
