About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled nurse to take on the role of Clinical Matron in our Primary Care Mental Health Services. As a key member of our senior team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and support to our nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional and quality leadership to nursing staff in Primary Care Mental Health, ensuring clear guidance and support.
  • Ensure service users receive safe and effective care, delivered in partnership with them and their carers, inspiring confidence and trust.
  • Support initiatives and projects that enhance service user care and outcomes, promoting a positive service user experience.
  • Act as a role model to all nursing staff, promoting a just and inclusive culture, and upholding the standards required of the Trust and the profession.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality monitoring systems, clinical audit, and effectiveness within the Trust.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Registered Nurse on the NMC register.
  • Educated to Master's degree or currently working towards a Master's degree.
  • Evidence of continuing personal and professional development.
  • Leadership course evident or working towards.
  • Wide knowledge of developments in the NHS impacting on the Trust, including comprehensive understanding of current NHS initiatives and targets.
  • Confident with HR policies and procedures and demonstrable evidence of managing significant numbers of staff.
