Position Overview

Role: Quality Improvement Manager - Primary

Salary: Competitive annual salary
Hours: 35 hours per week

This role involves providing strategic direction and expert management guidance to the team of Quality Improvement Education Officers in collaboration with the Head of Education.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing standards and promoting success in educational attainment, inclusivity, and equality, aligning with both local and national objectives. This will involve working closely with senior leaders in Education, Schools, and Lifelong Learning, as well as Head Teachers and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with performance monitoring and continuous improvement standards.

The City of Edinburgh Council is dedicated to delivering exceptional educational services for all children and young people, fostering partnerships with parents and communities. A commitment to ongoing improvement is fundamental to our educational initiatives, supported by the Quality Improvement Service.

Important Information:
This position is classified as regulated work with children and/or protected adults. The selected candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Additionally, an Overseas Criminal Record Check may be necessary for individuals who have resided outside the UK for a continuous period of three months or more within the last five years. The commencement of employment is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of these pre-employment checks.
