Job Summary:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the surveying function, ensuring effective resource planning and allocation to ensure adequate resources are in place to deliver programmes effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the surveying function, ensuring effective resource planning and allocation to ensure adequate resources are in place to deliver programmes effectively.
  • Provide resident-centric professional building surveyor activities, defect diagnosis and specify remedial works and act as point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide high levels of technical support to the team and have a strong knowledge of social housing repairs and maintenance, construction methods and building regulations.
  • Have experience of leading teams, and planning work schedules including the deployment of appropriate resources.
  • Have financial awareness and/or budget management experience and excellent communication (verbal and written), customer service, influencing and engagement skills.
  • Have excellent IT and data analytical skills, including the ability to analyse data and market trends.
  • Have access to your own vehicle insured for business purposes, with a full UK driving licence.

Requirements:

  • Have appropriate surveying qualifications/relevant qualification in line with progression framework.
  • Have excellent knowledge of social housing repairs and maintenance, construction methods and building regulations.
  • Have experience of leading teams, and planning work schedules including the deployment of appropriate resources.
  • Have financial awareness and/or budget management experience.
  • Have excellent communication (verbal and written), customer service, influencing and engagement skills and an ability to be resilient when required.
  • Have excellent IT and data analytical skills, including the ability to analyse data and market trends.
