About PPP

The Programme and Project Partners (PPP) at Sellafield unite KBR, Jacobs, Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, Altrad Babcock, and Sellafield Ltd as the client, along with a broader supply chain to execute a 20-year pipeline of major infrastructure projects.

This extensive pipeline of work, coupled with the size, scale, and complexity of our projects, allows us to provide our personnel with rewarding long-term opportunities to enhance their skills and advance their careers.

The PPP Start Up Capability (Commissioning & Pre-Operations) plays a crucial role in all projects by ensuring that our newly constructed or modified facilities are transitioned to safe and reliable operations. The Role

As a Senior Pre-Operations Engineering Manager, you will lead a team in executing tasks and ensuring that activities are conducted in accordance with established Start Up, Commissioning, and Pre-Operations protocols. This will involve contributing to the training needs for future facility end users, facilitating successful project handovers, and reviewing and reporting on work progress while implementing corrective actions as necessary. You will collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team and regularly engage with other teams in your project, as well as external vendors and stakeholders. Senior Engineers are viewed as our future Managers and Senior Managers, making this a prime opportunity to advance your career within a long-term program of work.

The Ideal Candidate

You will possess an HNC or equivalent Level 4 qualification in a relevant field, along with experience in leading and/or supervising a team in a technical or engineering environment. The scale and complexity of our projects necessitate collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders, so excellent communication skills are essential. Strong leadership abilities and a passion for team supervision are also key, as we are eager to further develop these skills as your career progresses.

Experience in the Nuclear sector or a highly regulated environment is advantageous, but we welcome applications from individuals new to the industry who possess the relevant skills and experience.
