About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development Underwriter to join our team at Hireful. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will play a crucial role in developing our new business proposition and driving growth in the property owners market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing New Business Propositions: You will be responsible for developing and implementing new business strategies to drive growth and meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Building Broker Relationships: You will build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, identifying and developing new business pipelines to drive revenue growth.
  • Underwriting Excellence: You will ensure that all underwriting is carried out to the highest standards, adhering to company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Administrative Duties: You will be responsible for processing and administering policy documentation, as well as maintaining accurate records of customer contact.
  • Technical Expertise: You will possess a strong understanding of property wordings and products, as well as technical underwriting knowledge of property classes.
  • Team Collaboration: You will work closely with the team to achieve individual and business unit targets, contributing to a successful audit score and maintaining accurate and detailed records of customer contact.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in a new business, sales, or development underwriting role, with a strong background in property owners underwriting.
  • Qualifications: A minimum of 5 GCSEs, Grades A-C, including English and Maths, and a CII qualification, working towards Diploma or ACII.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
