Job Title: Development Underwriter

Join PIB Group as a Development Underwriter and play a key role in shaping our New Business proposition. As a Development Underwriter, you will be responsible for developing our underwriting strategy, providing quotations, and maintaining SLAs. You will work closely with brokers to identify and build new business pipelines, ensuring excellence in service and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement underwriting strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Provide accurate and compliant underwriting of business in accordance with our underwriting guides and processes.
  • Maintain SLAs by delivering high-quality service and adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with brokers to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Assist in the training of other team members and peers as required.
  • Contribute to the achievement of team and business unit targets by delivering on monthly KPIs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 GCSEs, Grades A-C, including English and Maths.
  • Previous experience in new business, sales, or development underwriting.
  • Good technical underwriting knowledge of property classes.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Computer literate and able to work on new systems to record and produce accurate MI.
