Our efforts focus on empowering women worldwide, supported by visionary sponsors and collaborators. Our audience primarily consists of women and has expanded organically since 2015, reaching 8.6 million followers.

Role Summary

We are in search of a remarkable new team member; someone who is diligent, ambitious, innovative, and skilled. We require a robust and reliable Development Manager to deliver exceptional client support (both verbal and written) for our two leading figures at The Female Lead. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding writing and design skills for proposals and reports, utilizing tools such as PowerPoint, Canva, Microsoft Word, and Photoshop.

Your contributions will be vital in enhancing our outreach and impact. Our programs are centered around fostering employee and societal value, and this role entails tailoring our narrative to resonate with global brand leaders and their missions. We seek an individual who flourishes in a self-directed small team, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is eager to embrace greater challenges.

The selected candidate will be accountable for addressing a brief (defined by our commercial team) and crafting narratives with words, visuals, and timelines/budgets. Additionally, you will collaborate with our exceptional studio team to produce everything from presentations and proposals to authoritative reports and creative client pitches, often culminating in films and celebrations to highlight our collective impact and achievements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responding to new briefs and shaping our approach, regardless of the format (we also have a dedicated filming, editorial, and social media team).
  • Upholding excellent standards around brand voice and design.
  • Actively and creatively contributing to new briefs and collaborative opportunities in team meetings.
  • Working systematically and faithfully to a mutually agreed set of deliverables and timelines.
  • Becoming an integral part of a dedicated and passionate pitch team and fostering strong partner relationships through clear communication.
  • Supporting long-term partnerships that help deliver and assess the impact of our educational tools and materials, with our Ambassador Schools and Girls.
  • Respecting contract terms, costs, and donations/fees.
  • Seeking clarification when necessary to ensure the authenticity, scope, budget, and timelines of the brief are never compromised.
  • Providing creative solutions when projects encounter challenges.
  • Taking ownership of deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
  • Contributing to trusted, valuable, and long-term team and partner relationships.
  • Your performance will be evaluated based on the success of our partner relationships through a combination of client satisfaction, engagement retention, and upselling.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Exceptional design, writing, and presentation skills.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of client support experience, working with a variety of tools and briefs.
  • Demonstrable evidence of creativity, communication, and design competence & style.
  • Excellent planning and time management skills - a true completer/finisher.
  • Experience in adopting a brand style and set of values.
  • Comfortable with, and responsive to constructive feedback.
  • Proactive and methodical approach to achieving 'right first time' outcomes.
  • A willingness to learn, grow, and adapt as part of our world-leading mission.
  • Knowledge and genuine passion for female empowerment and research.
