Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Clinical Pharmacist to join our Respiratory team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a specialized clinical pharmacy service to our respiratory patients, including those with complex interstitial lung disease, chronic severe asthma, COPD, and cystic fibrosis.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide complex pharmaceutical care for patients, optimizing their medicines and utilizing prescribing skills to ensure effective transfer of care.
* Jointly develop and implement an excellent clinical pharmacy service to the respiratory and interstitial lung disease service.
* Line manage one or more band 7 pharmacists, providing mentoring and supporting their development and objectives.
* Mentor junior pharmacists working in respiratory, providing training, education, and sharing expertise.

Requirements

* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Diploma/MSc in clinical pharmacy or equivalent qualification or experience.
* Qualified as an independent prescriber.

Desirable Skills

* Experience of delivering a clinical pharmacy service to a specialty.
* Experience of developing and implementing medicines and service-related policies for a specialty.
* Experience of training and education of both pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals.

Working Arrangements

* Full-time, part-time, job share, or flexible working arrangements considered.
