Key Responsibilities:

As a Pipe Fabricator, you will:

• Operate both conventional and CNC machinery to fabricate landing gear pipes, including processes such as bending, swaging of hydraulic fittings, and pressure testing, adhering to established production protocols and quality standards.

• Occasionally provide support to the Landing Gear Assembly line as needed.

• Demonstrate self-motivation and problem-solving skills, addressing issues such as non-compliance and material handling challenges.

• Actively participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and reducing production times.

• Prepare and set up tools, measuring devices, and automated control systems.

• Input and verify production equipment settings to ensure optimal operation.

• Execute machine programs to conduct specified operations, performing intermediate inspections to maintain geometric tolerances and quality standards.

• Inspect finished products for defects and participate in necessary adjustments or follow-up tasks.

• Document and log production data accurately in the management system.

• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, tools, and work area in accordance with safety guidelines.

• Suggest technical and organizational improvements to enhance workflow and performance metrics.

Qualifications:


• Completion of a Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3

• Strong adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations

• Understanding of pipe manufacturing processes

• Familiarity with assembly procedures and production acceptance testing

• General knowledge of fabrication techniques and machinery

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Awareness of Foreign Object Damage (FOD) risks

• Proficiency in quality management tools such as 5S and Lean/6-Sigma

• Capability to perform self-inspections and dimensional measurements

• Knowledge of NC machine programming is advantageous.
