Job Summary

The King's College London Students' Union is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Peer Support Assistant - Student Staff. This position will be a key member of the KCLSU Wellbeing team, supporting the Peer Support Coordinator with the administration of the KCLSU Buddy Scheme and the Centralised Peer Mentoring Structure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with general administrative tasks to support the work of KCLSU Wellbeing, including communicating with student and staff stakeholders, arranging meetings and events, and creating surveys.
  • Oversee the KCLSU Wellbeing social media and newsletters, creating engaging content and responding to queries via these platforms.
  • Promote KCLSU Wellbeing initiatives via relevant KCLSU and King's webpages, social media, and newsletters.
  • Monitor department inboxes and respond to enquiries in a polite, timely, and professional manner or forward to relevant staff members.
  • Contribute to work to evaluate and improve the service, including analyzing data and writing reports.
  • Occasionally represent KCLSU Wellbeing at events, engaging with students and promoting the service.
  • Build strong working relationships with other teams within KCLSU and King's to facilitate effective collaboration.

Requirements

  • Be a current undergraduate or postgraduate student of King's College London.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK and provide proof of this when requested by KCLSU.
  • Have a National Insurance number or be in the process of applying for one.
  • Not be a trustee of King's College London Students' Union.

Working Arrangements

This is a student staff role, and the successful candidate will be expected to work on a hybrid basis, with at least one shift per month in the KCLSU Strand office. The role will be line managed by the Peer Support Coordinator.
