About the Role

The Senior PMO Business Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the Project Management Office (PMO) by providing advanced skills across our Energy Planning and Investment portfolio of works.

This role involves facilitating the successful delivery of projects through strong planning, governance, reporting, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning & Scoping: Work closely with senior management and subject matter experts to ensure projects are effectively planned/scoped and managed through to submission.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across the business, including presenting information to senior management to gain buy-in and support.
  • Risk Management & Project Governance: Implement risk management processes and reporting, identify, assess, and monitor project risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Generate and analyze project reports, dashboards, and metrics to provide insights and recommendations to senior management and executive committees.
Requirements
  • Training & Support: Provide training, coaching, and support to team members.
  • People & Resource Management: Experience in direct line management to assist in the allocation and tracking of project resources to ensure optimal utilization.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve PMO processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge and experience of the wider energy industry and policy would be advantageous.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Well-developed interpersonal, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills to forge and maintain effective working relationships at all levels internal and external.
