Service Manager Private Sector Housing Lead

The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to lead the Private Sector Housing Team and Private Rented Property Licensing Scheme. As a key member of the Regulatory Services team, you will play a crucial role in improving the quality, safety, and choice of residential accommodation in the borough.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to improve private sector housing functions, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Manage the Private Rented Property Licensing Scheme, ensuring effective regulation and enforcement action against criminal landlords.
- Collaborate with external partners to deliver excellent regulatory services, prioritizing customer-focused outcomes.
- Lead the team in achieving key performance indicators, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ensure governance arrangements are adhered to, maintaining high standards of professionalism and integrity.
