About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at beBee Professionals in Loughborough, UK. As the second-in-command, you will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan menus and oversee food preparation.
  • Supervise the kitchen team and ensure seamless operation during service.
  • Ensure all dishes meet the highest standards of quality and are delivered on time.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Take charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring continuity and excellence.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, with a strong track record of success.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Creativity and passion for cooking with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher preferred).
