Junior Sous Chef Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at Loughborough University. As a key member of our Estates & Facilities Management team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences for our students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in our fresh food kitchen, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Develop bespoke menus using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, working closely with senior chefs to deliver high-quality dishes.
  • Contribute to promotional days and high-profile events, showcasing your culinary expertise and creativity.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and Development Chef to refine menus and improve kitchen efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a fresh food kitchen, with a strong culinary background and fine dining expertise.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to run kitchen sections, order supplies, and maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
