The Opportunity: Development Director

We are seeking a visionary Development Director to lead our ambitious fundraising strategy and drive significant growth in philanthropic and supporter income. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the RSC's long-term financial sustainability alongside our Senior Leadership Team, contributing to the development of a robust and enduring financial model for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a dedicated team of 30 fundraising professionals as they execute an ambitious plan to significantly increase revenue by 2026.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy encompassing major gifts, trusts and foundations, public funding, membership programs, sponsorships, and partnerships.
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with a diverse range of donors, sponsors, and partners, ensuring exceptional donor engagement and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with the Executive Director, Co-Artistic Directors, Board of Trustees, and Development Advisory Council to align fundraising efforts with the RSC's strategic goals.
  • Oversee the relationship with RSC America, maximizing opportunities presented by the RSC's globally recognized brand.
