Position Overview:

  • Employment Type: Full-time – Standard working hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid – One office day per week, with flexibility for additional office presence during initial training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management and reconciliation of loan balances
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and journal entries
  • Payroll processing
  • Submissions to HMRC and pension authorities
  • Weekly cash flow forecasting
  • Processing payments to suppliers and borrowers
  • Addressing customer inquiries and providing statements
  • Budget oversight
  • Coordination with external auditors
  • Generation of ad-hoc reports

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in numerical analysis and Excel
  • Adaptable to various situations
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

Required Experience:

  • Partially or fully qualified in Accounting – ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
  • Experience in management accounting
  • Familiarity with accounting software, especially Xero.
  • Background in the financial services sector is advantageous
