Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled executive to lead our operations in Bermuda as the General Manager, Corebridge Insurance Company of Bermuda. This is a senior leadership role that requires a strong track record of success in the insurance industry, particularly in reinsurance and Bermuda market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to achieve Corebridge Bermuda's goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate and ensure alignment of affiliated reinsurance transactions with risk appetite and economic return.
  • Manage the balance sheet, capital, and ALM position of Corebridge Bermuda effectively.
  • Align with US business unit leaders on results for existing and new reinsurance business.
  • Ensure effective execution of strategic goals and objectives of all Corebridge companies in Bermuda.
  • Represent the local entities in external legislative sessions, government, and ministerial matters.
  • Build and lead a local team in Bermuda to maintain 'fit for purpose' operations.
Requirements
  • Strong insurance leadership experience in Reinsurance or in Bermuda.
  • Executive gravitas to liaise with local government and regulators.
  • Business acumen with a proven track record of making sound judgments.
  • Background or experience in Life and Annuities Reinsurance.
  • Strategic skills to establish and execute against a vision for the company's activities in Bermuda.
  • Understanding of financial models and outputs, strategic financial planning, and statutory financials.
  • Proven ability to lead professionals in a matrixed environment.
  • Influencing skills to collaborate locally and globally.
  • Reputation for integrity and high ethical standards.
  • Familiarity with the business and regulatory environment in Bermuda.
  • Extensive insurance knowledge and strong understanding of Bermuda market dynamics.
