Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee the strategic and financial goals of Corebridge Bermuda. As General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's objectives are achieved while maintaining a strong risk appetite and delivering economic results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to achieve Corebridge Bermuda's objectives.
  • Evaluate and align affiliated reinsurance transactions with the company's risk appetite.
  • Ensure terms of agreements offer suitable economic returns to Corebridge Bermuda.
  • Manage the balance sheet and capital position of Corebridge Bermuda effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Reinsurance team to drive results through reinsurance transactions.
  • Lead a local team and third-party service providers in Finance, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, and Enterprise Risk Management.

Requirements

  • Strong insurance leadership experience in Reinsurance or in Bermuda.
  • Executive-level gravitas to liaise with local government and regulators.
  • Business acumen with a proven track record of sound judgments and analytical skills.
  • Background or experience in Life and Annuities Reinsurance.
  • Strategic skills to establish and execute a vision for the company's activities in Bermuda.
  • Understanding of financial models, strategic financial planning, and statutory financials.
  • Proven ability to lead professionals in a matrixed environment.
  • Influencing skills to collaborate locally and globally.
  • Reputation for integrity and high ethical standards.
  • Familiarity with the business and regulatory environment in Bermuda.
  • Extensive insurance knowledge and strong understanding of Bermuda market dynamics.
