Role Overview:

As a Senior Flow Assurance Engineer, you will report directly to the Flow Assurance Study Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct Flow Assurance analyses and provide technical support for various projects undertaken by Technip Energies. You will be an integral part of the UK flow assurance team, contributing to our global community of experts.

Your role will require you to work autonomously, leading flow assurance studies and compiling comprehensive reports with minimal oversight. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior engineers, sharing your expertise to foster their development. Proficiency in OLGA is essential for this position.

The scope of your work will be diverse, encompassing front-end conceptual studies, detailed design, and operational support. You will analyze flow assurance data to identify optimal solutions aligned with client objectives and effectively communicate these findings through detailed technical reports and presentations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project integration.
  • Develop tailored engineering solutions to meet specific project demands.
  • Formulate flow assurance strategies, philosophies, and procedures.
  • Prepare and validate flow assurance calculations and documentation.
  • Conduct calculations adhering to Technip Energies' quality standards.
  • Create and execute simulations for selected scenarios as required.
  • Engage in business development initiatives to support our UK and international offices.
  • Participate in engineering coordination meetings to align project goals.
  • Present project findings and results to stakeholders effectively.
  • Contribute to safety and design review meetings as necessary.
  • Engage in knowledge-sharing initiatives within the global flow assurance team.
  • Support the team leader and undertake additional tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational design standards.
  • Review project scopes and provide accurate estimates and timelines.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and project managers to ensure objectives are met.
  • Assist in the professional growth of junior engineers.
Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • Proven expertise in flow assurance within the upstream oil and gas sector.
  • Extensive experience with OLGA.
  • A degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field, with relevant professional qualifications (CEng/PEng or equivalent).
  • Experience in flow assurance conceptual and front-end studies.
  • Familiarity with detailed design and operational support in flow assurance is preferred.
  • Background in marketing and business development is advantageous, with an understanding of the local flow assurance landscape.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office applications.
  • Experience with CO2 flow assurance is a plus.
  • Familiarity with tools such as PipeSIM, PVTSim, and Multiflash is desirable.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Strong report writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Leadership qualities and a passion for team building.
  • Technical knowledge in related fields to address and resolve challenges.
  • Analytical skills to implement proactive solutions.
  • Experience in energy transition-focused flow assurance, including H2 and CO2, is a distinct advantage.
