Position Summary:
Reporting to the Flow Assurance Study Manager, the successful candidate will provide expert analysis and technical support for various projects within Technip Energies. As a key member of the UK flow assurance team, you will also engage with the global flow assurance community.
The ideal candidate will independently conduct and lead flow assurance studies, preparing comprehensive reports with minimal oversight. Mentoring junior engineers will also be part of your responsibilities. Proficiency in OLGA is essential for this role.
The scope of work is diverse, encompassing front-end conceptual studies, detailed design, and operational support. You will perform flow assurance analyses to identify optimal solutions aligned with client objectives and effectively communicate these findings through technical documentation and presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various engineering disciplines to ensure effective interfaces.
- Develop tailored engineering solutions for specific project needs.
- Create and implement flow assurance strategies, philosophies, and procedures.
- Prepare and review flow assurance calculations and reports.
- Conduct calculations adhering to Technip Energies and project quality standards.
- Execute simulations for selected scenarios as required.
- Engage in business development initiatives to support Technip Energies' growth.
- Participate in engineering coordination meetings.
- Present project results effectively to stakeholders.
- Contribute to safety and design review meetings as necessary.
- Support global knowledge-sharing initiatives within the flow assurance team.
- Assist the team leader and undertake additional tasks as directed.
- Ensure designs comply with safety and operational standards, relevant regulations, and codes.
- Review project scopes and provide accurate estimates and schedules.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and study managers to ensure project objectives are met.
- Support the development of junior engineers.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Recognized expertise in flow assurance within the upstream oil and gas sector.
- Extensive experience with OLGA.
- A degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field, with CEng and/or PEng qualifications or equivalent.
- Experience in flow assurance conceptual and front-end studies.
- Familiarity with detailed design and operational support in flow assurance is preferred.
- Experience in marketing and business development is advantageous, particularly knowledge of the local flow assurance market.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Experience with CO2 flow assurance.
- Familiarity with software such as PipeSIM, PipePhase, PVTSim, Leda Flow, Maximus, PIPENET, Flow Master, CFD, and/or FEA is a plus.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics and experience with Multiflash is preferred.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Strong report writing and communication skills.
- Ability to network effectively and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
- Capacity to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
