About The Role:
Reporting to the Flow Assurance Study Manager, this position involves providing Flow Assurance analysis and technical support for various projects. The engineer will be an integral part of the UK flow assurance team and the broader global community.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to independently conduct and lead flow assurance studies, producing comprehensive reports with minimal oversight. Mentoring junior engineers will also be a key aspect of this role. Proficiency with OLGA is essential.
The responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including front-end conceptual studies, detailed design, and operational support. The engineer will perform flow assurance analyses to identify optimal solutions aligned with client objectives and effectively communicate these findings through technical reports and presentations.
The engineer will ensure the quality and accuracy of all Flow Assurance work on assigned projects.
Collaboration with team members and participation in marketing and business development activities will also be required. A solid understanding of the local flow assurance market is crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines for effective project integration.
- Develop tailored engineering solutions to meet specific project needs.
- Formulate flow assurance strategies, philosophies, and procedures.
- Prepare and review flow assurance calculations and documentation.
- Conduct calculations in line with Technip Energies and project quality standards.
- Create and execute simulations for defined scenarios.
- Engage in business development initiatives to support various Technip Energies offices.
- Participate in engineering coordination meetings.
- Contribute to project presentations to share results.
- Attend safety and design review meetings as necessary.
- Engage in global knowledge-sharing initiatives within the flow assurance team.
- Support the team leader and fulfill additional tasks as required.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational design standards.
- Review and prepare project scopes, estimates, and schedules.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and study managers to ensure project objectives are met.
- Assist in the development of junior engineers.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Recognized expertise in flow assurance within the upstream oil and gas sector.
- Extensive experience with OLGA.
- A degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field, with CEng and/or PEng qualifications or equivalent.
- Experience in flow assurance conceptual and front-end studies.
- Familiarity with flow assurance in detailed design and operational support is preferred.
- Background in marketing and business development is advantageous, along with knowledge of the local flow assurance market.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Experience with CO2 flow assurance.
- Familiarity with tools such as OLGA, PipeSIM/PipePhase, PVTSim, and others is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics and experience with Multiflash is preferred.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.

- Experience related to energy transition, including H2 and CO2, is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to meet multiple deadlines.
