About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Reliability Engineer to join our team at Anson McCade. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and scalability of our OpenStack environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the OpenStack environment, including instance creation, end-user support, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to provide support and ensure the smooth operation of our software-defined data centers.
  • Develop and implement automation tools using Ansible and Terraform to streamline our OpenStack setup.
  • Provide expert-level support for Linux OS, particularly RHEL, and ensure the security and integrity of our OpenStack platforms.
  • Work closely with our development teams to identify and resolve complex issues, ensuring service continuity and optimal performance.
Requirements
  • SC Clearance is required to be active or obtained before joining.
  • In-depth knowledge of core OpenStack services (Nova, Neutron, Keystone, Glance, Cinder) and extensive experience with the Ceph storage platform.
  • Proficient in deploying and configuring OpenStack environments using automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
  • Advanced expertise with Linux OS, particularly RHEL, with strong command line and scripting skills (bash, Python) for automation tasks.
  • Skilled in provisioning, configuring, and managing virtual machines and containers within OpenStack.
  • Solid understanding of monitoring and logging tools to ensure service continuity and expertise in security best practices for maintaining OpenStack platforms.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose complex issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent customer service, collaboration, and stakeholder management capabilities.

  • Competitive base salary: Up to £80,000 (DoE)
  • Annual Bonus: Up to 21%
