About the Role

RBW Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based and on-premise compute environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Development: Develop and deploy infrastructure solutions in Microsoft Azure and on-premise Azure Stack HCI, ensuring seamless integration with our existing systems.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure that all systems align with industry, internal, and security standards, maintaining the highest level of data protection and integrity.
  • Vendor Management: Supervise 3rd party service providers from proposal assessment through project execution and support, ensuring timely delivery and quality of services.
  • Lifecycle Management: Oversee the lifecycle management of Compute platforms and services, ensuring continuous improvement and optimization.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Documentation and Governance: Create and maintain high-level designs (HLDs), low-level designs (LLDs), and support documentation, engaging in governance forums, including Technical Design Authority (TDA), Change Management, and Problem Management.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience as an IT Infrastructure Systems administrator with Azure cloud and on-premise HCI platforms.
  • Proficient in PKI systems, Active Directory, file services, Backup and Recovery solutions, Windows and Linux Servers, Patch Management, vulnerability management, remote access management, and network protocols (SMTP, NTP, DNS).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Intune for mobile device and application management (Preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with end-user computers and the capability to resolve complex technical issues (Preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present technical solutions to non-technical audiences (Preferred).
  • Experience in managing IT vendor and service provider relationships.
  • Enthusiastic about solving business problems and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Experience in leading IT service improvements and technology upgrades (Preferred).
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to enhance operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Experience in highly regulated industries (Preferred).
  • Experience in managing IT risks and technical debt (Preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Preferred) or equivalent technical experience.
  • Relevant industry certifications and accreditations.
