Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Systems Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our clients, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of their critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Delivery:
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues to maintain service level agreements.
- Provide 3rd Line technical expertise and support to other technical teams.
- Conduct complex configuration/installation and reconfiguration of server, storage, and communications platforms.
- Recommend and implement standards for configurations, tools, and products.
- Work Management:
- Manage the day-to-day work of the team.
- Ensure incidents are resolved within SLA targets.
- Serve as a point of reference for queries related to the incident/change management process.
- Take on the Change Ownership role, monitoring the progress of Change Requests.
- Support Policies, Standards, and Working Practices:
- Ensure governance is adhered to, including requirements, changes, and configuration management procedures.
- Facilitate ongoing knowledge sharing and the transfer of knowledge to the business and other technical staff.
- Develop procedures and processes to support the activities of the technical teams.
Requirements:
- Experience in leadership and staff development within a technical/support team environment.
- Expert technical experience in a wide variety of Server, Storage, and Networking technologies.
- Knowledge of IT security best practices, with particular emphasis on GOV standards and the accreditation process.
- Extensive experience with Windows Servers, Virtualisation technologies, enterprise storage technologies, and other Server and infrastructure technologies in a large enterprise environment.
