About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Trauma and Orthopaedic Therapy Team at the Countess of Chester Hospital. As an Advanced Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in providing assessment, treatment, and discharge planning to patients with a wide range of orthopaedic conditions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of pathways and patient information across the trauma side of the service.
  • Lead on a project to review the current pre-assessment provision for elective patients.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants within the team.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, with a strong background in orthopaedics.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
