Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Therapeutic Radiographer to join our team in a forward-thinking radiotherapy department. The successful candidate will have a strong background in radiation therapy, with excellent communication and organisational skills. They will be responsible for working with patients undergoing radiotherapy, including pre-treatment, on-treatment, and on-treatment review.
Main Duties
The post holder will be required to work within a large multi-disciplinary team, involved in the care of patients undergoing radiotherapy. They will be responsible for:
- Assessing patients for radiotherapy treatment
- Developing and implementing treatment plans
- Delivering radiotherapy treatment using linear accelerators and CT scanners
- Monitoring patients during treatment and making adjustments as needed
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of radiation therapy principles and practices
- Registration with the Health Care Professions Council
Desirable Qualifications
We welcome applications from candidates with experience working with Varian and/or Elekta equipment, as well as those with a background in quality assurance and clinical audit.
