Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiation Therapist to join our team at Velindre Cancer Centre. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in the delivery of radiotherapy treatment to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality radiotherapy treatment to patients, ensuring accurate and safe delivery of treatment plans.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their individual needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, ensuring they understand their treatment options and the treatment process.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and procedures, with the ability to maintain a safe working environment.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Radiation Therapist.
Desirable Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in Radiation Therapy or a related field.
- Experience working in a cancer treatment center or hospital setting.
