We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Practice Lead Nurse to join our team at eMed. As a key member of our General Practice Nursing Team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality primary care services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of Practice Nurses, Nursing Associates, Healthcare Assistants, and Phlebotomists, providing guidance and direction to achieve optimal standards of care.
- Support the launch of new NHS and Private services, taking responsibility for implementing plans and ensuring effective roll-out.
- Deliver results-driven solutions, focusing on early identification and resolution of issues.
- Conduct regular appraisals and provide constructive feedback and supervision to direct reports, supporting their professional development.
- Coach and supervise Nursing staff through the revalidation process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Investigate incidents, complaints, and significant events, making recommendations for improvement and shared learning.
- Act as the Infection Prevention and Control lead for your dedicated sites, completing audits and following up on actions.
- Ensure nursing services conform to CQC and other statutory requirements, actively contributing to team engagement and a positive work environment.
- Liaise with front-of-house and other clinician types to ensure effective communication and a collaborative approach to issue resolution.
- Participate in establishing and completing relevant nursing audits, including infection control, hand washing, and emergency preparedness.
- Monitor vaccinations levels and stock levels, ensuring stock rotation and timely order requests.
- Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Practice Nurse qualification or accredited long-term condition modules + individual competencies.
- Cervical Smear Taker.
- Able to run and manage QOF workflows and clinics, including baby/childhood immunisations and travel clinics.
- Ear irrigation training.
- Non-medical prescriber.
- Previous line management experience.
- Previous IPC experience.
- IT literate, with experience of using SystmOne and other systems, able to multitask.
- A willingness to undertake additional courses, training, and education to meet the needs of the position.
- A willingness to adapt working practice to meet changing practice and service development, with flexibility to work across sites if required.
