About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Home Care Direct. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to a young man with complex care needs.

The role involves working as a waking night carer, ensuring the client's safety and well-being during the hours of 7pm to 7am on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar care role and a knowledge of children's British culture or similar interests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the client's safety and well-being at all times
  • Accompany the client to the bathroom and provide support during seizures
  • Administer medication on time each morning
  • Provide companionship and engage in activities with the client
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure the client's needs are met
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS disclosure
  • Experience in a similar care role
  • Willingness to provide holiday cover across the team
  • Commitment to long-term care for one client in a person-centred way
  • Reliability, non-judgmental, caring, responsible, and compassionate
  • Commitment to confidentiality and treating the client with dignity and respect
