Position: Senior Support Worker

At NHS Scotland, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care for individuals with complex neurological conditions. We are currently seeking a Senior Support Worker to join our dynamic team.

This role involves working in a supportive living environment where you will be responsible for assisting residents with their daily needs, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized care tailored to each individual's requirements, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
  • Administer and manage medication in accordance with established protocols, ensuring accurate logging and security of all medications.
  • Support residents with household tasks, including laundry and cleaning, to maintain a safe and welcoming living space.
  • Engage in meal planning and preparation, catering to the specific dietary needs of residents.
  • Accompany residents on community outings, providing necessary support and ensuring their needs are met during these activities.
  • Document and communicate important information regarding resident activities and care to the team.

Our supported living services are designed to empower individuals to live as independently as possible in environments that are specifically adapted to their needs.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should be a compassionate and motivated individual committed to enhancing the lives of those with complex health challenges. Flexibility in working hours, including early and late shifts, weekends, and public holidays, is essential.

Previous experience in a similar role is required, and candidates should ideally possess an SVQ Level 3 qualification or be willing to pursue this certification. Comprehensive training and a robust induction program will be provided to ensure you are well-equipped to meet the care needs of our residents.
