Key Responsibilities of the Theatre Practitioner:

  • Scrubbing for Laser Vision Correction
  • Scrubbing for Intraocular Lens (Cataract) Procedures
  • Assisting with Anaesthesia
  • Conducting Pre-operative Assessments
  • Performing Pre-screening Diagnostic Duties
  • Discharging Patients with After-care Instructions and Medications
  • Managing Medicines


Requirements for the Theatre Nurse:

  • NMC or HCPC registration
  • Prior Theatre or Scrub experience
