We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a Financial Systems Accountant. This position does not necessitate formal accounting qualifications, although familiarity with accounting principles would be advantageous.

This is a fixed-term role.

This position allows for hybrid work arrangements with a minimum requirement of one day per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities

As a Financial Systems Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include maintaining and enhancing the financial systems utilized by our organization and our clients, generating reports, and providing user support as part of a collaborative service.

You will spearhead the strategy for financial systems reporting, which involves the creation, upkeep, and improvement of reports (utilizing Crystal Reports and XQuery), along with managing the Excel-based management information system and other reporting tools.

To address support challenges, you will analyze and manipulate the MS SQL database.

In collaboration with software vendors, you will oversee the implementation of new software releases, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities for enhancements.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in supporting a financial system with a user base exceeding 250 individuals.
  • Background in financial or performance reporting.
  • Proficiency in MS SQL, Crystal Reports, and XQuery.
  • A collaborative mindset with a willingness to engage with team members and the broader organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
