Position Overview

As a **Sales and Trading intern** at Jane Street, you will collaborate with our seasoned Sales professionals and Traders, gaining insights into how we interact with institutional clients regarding their trading requirements across various asset classes. This role provides a unique opportunity to understand the nature of client inquiries we address on a daily basis, and you will discover how we support our clients, issuers, and potential clients.

Internship Experience

This internship is designed to be a dynamic and engaging experience. You will participate in internal training sessions covering a range of topics that will enhance your understanding of finance and trading fundamentals.

We value diverse backgrounds and do not require expertise in a specific area. We seek intelligent, motivated individuals who enjoy engaging with clients to tackle intriguing challenges. Ideal candidates will possess the following attributes:

  • Currently pursuing a **Bachelor's or Master's degree**
  • Demonstrates proactivity, reliability, and courtesy, with strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • A self-driven and entrepreneurial thinker eager to cultivate relationships with clients and partners
  • Possesses strong analytical skills and logical reasoning, comfortable working with numerical data
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficient in **Excel**
  • Interest in acquiring skills in **VBA, SQL, and/or Python**
  • Fluency in **English** is essential; proficiency in additional languages such as **French, Italian, Spanish, or German** is advantageous
