Job Title: Lead Teacher of Maths

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Teacher of Maths to join our team at Phoenix Learning and Care Group. As a Lead Teacher of Maths, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of maths curriculums for our pupils, as well as providing guidance and support to teaching staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of maths curriculums for our pupils
  • Provide guidance and support to teaching staff on maths teaching and learning
  • Monitor and record progress of pupils, both academically and against EHCP outcomes
  • Work closely with pupils to keep them engaged, motivated, and inspired to reach their full potential
  • Work with teaching assistants to direct them to effectively support pupils
  • Support team members with delivery of maths across the school, and have oversight of the subject as a whole

Requirements:

  • Ability to teach maths to Level 2 (GCSE/Functional Skills)
  • Patience, compassion, and resilience
  • Great communication skills
  • A driving licence
  • A genuine interest in a career focused on the education of people with a wide range of needs
