About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Chef to lead a friendly team serving healthy and nutritious meals in schools. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of culinary professionals, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety, and maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of chefs and kitchen staff to prepare and serve healthy meals to students
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of students and comply with dietary requirements
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with other school staff to ensure seamless meal service and student satisfaction
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a commercial kitchen environment, with a focus on team leadership and staff supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the school and students
