Job Title: Commercial Immigration Paralegal Specialist

We are seeking an exceptional Commercial Immigration Paralegal Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide a range of legal and administrative support to our immigration attorneys, senior paralegal, and firm legal operations director.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafting and preparing professional and accurate applications to be presented to US Embassies and United States Citizenship and Immigration Service on behalf of clients.
  • Identifying legal and practical issues associated with each case and the appropriate action to be taken at each stage, bearing in mind proposed timelines.
  • Corresponding with clients in a professional manner, managing client expectations by discussing matters on the phone and via email.
  • Assisting on the entirety of cases as well as 'ad hoc' duties for any given matter.
  • Writing legally accurate letters of advice summarizing complex legal principles in a clear manner.
  • Producing accurate attendance notes documenting telephone calls and meetings.
  • Creating and updating legal precedents for the firm, including immigration questionnaires, general informative letters, and template support letters.
  • Fielding calls from prospective clients, asking relevant questions, and gathering relevant information for attorney analysis.
  • Researching USCIS, US Embassy London, and overseas procedures and practices using electronic legal databases, primary sources, and relevant consulate and embassy websites.
  • Attending weekly immigration meetings (internal).
  • Adding and updating contacts on our database.
Person Specification:
  • A university degree with a strong academic background.
  • The ability to effectively prioritize and administer tasks as well as a flexibility to do occasional work outside of office hours.
  • An excellent understanding in all Microsoft office packages and office technology, including image manipulation, diagram creation, and file conversion skills.
What We Offer:
