Job Title: Immigration Paralegal Specialist

About the Role:

Gemini Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Immigration Paralegal Specialist to join our team. As a leading recruitment agency specialising in legal recruitment, we provide a highly focused service to our clients in the legal market across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Department Director and work closely with the team to provide exceptional client care and support.
  • Assist with casework, including dealing with a range of Immigration matters, and undertake your own advocacy.
  • Attend clients, take instructions, and prepare cases, ensuring compliance with file management and time costing procedures.
  • Prepare and manage funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency, and draft documents, including witness statements and processing evidence.
  • Prepare applications to meet Home Office requirements, including drafting application forms, index of documents, and letters of representation.
  • Attend conferences and court, and maintain accurate records of client interactions and case progress.
  • Implement recommendations made by your supervisor following monthly file reviews, ensuring prompt action and compliance with company policies.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to work towards Immigration Accreditation and demonstrate passion and experience in a broad range of publically funded Immigration Law.
  • A strong academic background with a Law degree and legal experience as an Immigration Paralegal/Advisor.
  • Clear understanding and application of Immigration Laws, business acumen, and the ability to market the company.
  • Excellent communications skills to work effectively with all types of people, analytical and organisational skills, and the ability to use your own initiative but know when to seek guidance.
  • Committed team player, self-motivated, and professional, with excellent IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and document management skills.
