The successful candidate will engage in a fast-paced call centre setting, working alongside seasoned professionals to oversee patient scheduling and manage waiting lists. Exceptional communication abilities, multitasking skills, and composure under pressure are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

In this high-demand booking centre, you will deliver precise and timely administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of our centralized booking service for various outpatient clinics.

Your role will involve utilizing your initiative in complex scenarios to guarantee that patient bookings align with both Local and National Access Targets.

Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, you will assist colleagues in achieving access goals and maintaining a patient-centric booking service. Your contribution will be crucial to fostering a cohesive administrative function.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for all referrals within the Booking Centre.
  • Address all inquiries and referrals directed to the Trust.
  • Utilize local patient administration systems to manage referrals, waiting lists, and appointments efficiently.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Qualifications:

  • GCSE, NVQ3 or Equivalent, IT Qualification

Desirable Qualifications:

  • IT or ECDL, Mandatory Training

Essential Experience:

  • Experience in Hospital/GP Practice, Call Centre, and public interaction.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience working with Consultant/Clinical Staff and in Waiting List Management.

Required Skills:

Essential Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize workload, and capacity to work under pressure.

Desirable Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and WPAS.

Knowledge Requirements:

Essential Knowledge:

  • Understanding of the Data Protection Act.

Desirable Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with WPAS.
