Overview of Responsibilities
Financial Management & Invoicing:
Ensure precise entry of all pertinent payments into the Commitment Records and related systems to facilitate accurate disbursements. Confirm that contributions from Other Local Authorities are documented accurately, with invoices issued promptly. Maintain consistent and precise financial records across all platforms, ensuring proper storage in designated SharePoint folders. Provide financial data to relevant supervisors as needed to adhere to organizational regulations. Conduct all tasks in compliance with the Council's financial policies, national billing guidelines, and departmental protocols. Guarantee that all invoices, bills, and related correspondence sent to other Authorities are correct, meet quality benchmarks, and follow established procedures. Ensure accurate setup of Suppliers/Carers/Young People to facilitate correct payment processing. Demonstrate flexibility and readiness to adapt to changes in workflows, including the introduction of new systems and service requirements.Client Relations:
Address and resolve all client inquiries, including service cessation matters. Proactively manage client queries regarding payments or charges. Document, investigate, and sensitively resolve client concerns, escalating complex issues to management as necessary. Ensure that all interactions are handled with a customer-centric approach.Financial Assistance:
Aid in the oversight and/or management of budgets in line with County Council financial protocols and guidelines. Ensure adherence to County Council financial systems and processes. Perform financial support tasks as needed to enhance service delivery. Foster team collaboration and maintain financial operations, sharing knowledge to strengthen team resilience.Debt Management:
Identify and investigate debt-related issues, providing solutions where feasible.
Candidate Profile
A foundational understanding of Microsoft Office and familiarity with financial software such as ContrOCC or ERP systems is advantageous. Comprehensive in-house training and professional development opportunities will be provided.
Experience in invoicing, payment processing, and financial principles is preferred. AAT qualifications or equivalent are beneficial.
Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English at grade C or above, and have experience in finance or an office setting.
