Please note that this is a Facilities Maintenance Technician - Evening Shift Role.

Upon joining Nyetimber, you will start with day shifts for training purposes. After completing the training period, which is expected to last approximately three months, you will transition to afternoon shifts to benefit from extended operational hours. Following this, you will permanently move to the evening shift.

Temporary Day Shift Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Temporary Afternoon Shift Hours: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM

Permanent Evening Shift Hours: 3:30 PM - 1:45 AM

The day and afternoon shifts will be from Monday to Friday, while the evening shift will be from Monday to Thursday.

There will be a 10% salary increase upon transitioning to the afternoon shift and a 20% salary increase when you move to the permanent evening shift.

We are currently looking to expand our Winery Team. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will assist in the scheduled preventative maintenance program for Nyetimber's winery machinery and production lines, as well as manage necessary repairs of that equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance of Winery Production Equipment

  • Assist the Maintenance Engineer in executing the planned preventative maintenance schedule and maintaining service records for all winery machinery.
  • Perform required maintenance or, when necessary, coordinate with relevant technicians through suppliers to ensure all tasks are completed.
  • Support the ad-hoc repairs and maintenance of winery equipment at various production sites.
  • Accurately document service records for all winery machinery.
  • Maintain flexibility to respond to urgent calls during harvest to ensure seamless operations.
  • Utilize initiative to stay updated with training and knowledge regarding winery equipment.
  • Demonstrate care and attention for all provided equipment, ensuring hygiene standards are upheld for all items in contact with wine.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, internal procedures, and risk assessments.
  • Keep processing lines clean and organized, in line with the expectations of a globally recognized wine producer.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the winery workshop area and tools, with a defined inventory.

Building and Facilities Maintenance

  • Timely report to the Facilities Department when maintenance of winery buildings is necessary.

General Responsibilities

  • Extra hours and flexibility in working days are required during critical periods, particularly during harvest.
  • Collaborate with all winery team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
  • Act as a positive representative of Nyetimber when interacting with external parties.
  • Be prepared to work at any Nyetimber production facility as needed.
  • Complete any required training as prescribed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that align with the responsibilities of the role and any reasonable management requests.
