Facilities Maintenance Technician
Interland is a private real estate investment firm established in 1985.

Our diverse portfolio encompasses affordable housing, student accommodations, private rental schemes, hotels, youth hostels, office spaces, and warehousing across the UK, Netherlands, and France.

We are currently seeking to hire a Facilities Maintenance Technician to become a part of our expanding team. This full-time position is based in Crawley, RH10, with working hours from Monday to Friday, totaling 37.5 hours per week.

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will assist the Building Manager by delivering prompt repairs and maintenance in compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Delivering a friendly, approachable, and professional level of customer service.
- Providing a responsive general repairs and maintenance service.
- Collaborating with relevant contractors to carry out planned work on-site.
- Performing plumbing repairs and minor electrical tasks.
- Re-decorating areas within the premises as necessary.
- Assisting with the installation and relocation of furniture and bedding supplies.

- Conducting general duties such as fire alarm tests, emergency lighting checks, and any other statutory tests as directed by the Building Manager.

- Undertaking administrative tasks as reasonably requested by the Building Manager.
- Being available for urgent emergencies outside of regular working hours.

You will possess an organized, calm, and methodical approach to your work, demonstrating excellent time management skills alongside your repairs and maintenance expertise.

You will recognize the limits of your skill set and be able to communicate clearly when you can or cannot complete a task.

You are committed to ensuring that every job is completed on time and to the required standard.

You will have a proactive attitude and a willingness to assist others to ensure that work meets the necessary standards.

KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES (essential):
- Competent and skilled tradesperson across various disciplines.
- Comprehensive understanding and appreciation of Health and Safety regulations pertinent to repairs and maintenance operatives.
- Basic electrical skills.
- Basic plumbing skills (including bathroom and kitchen units).
- Painting and decorating skills.
- Basic cabinetry and carpentry skills.
- Appliance installation experience.
- Familiarity with power tools.
