Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at EMCOR Group (UK) Plc. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for providing electrical maintenance and repair services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine electrical maintenance and repairs on plant and equipment
  • Implement electrical maintenance and corrective works in accordance with maintenance instructions and company procedures
  • Provide accurate feedback and information on completed tasks and observations
  • Ensure all plant and systems are maintained and operated to provide maximum efficiency, availability, and reliability
  • Carry out remedial and/or refurbishment works arising from breakdown or maintenance inspections
  • Respond to reactive maintenance/breakdown calls and carry out remedial work as necessary
  • Assume the role of Competent Person (Electrical) as authorized by the Authorised Person Controller
  • Develop and retain knowledge of site system failures and their causes and effects
  • Carry out minor new works installations and testing
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of plant and adjacent areas
  • Undertake defect surveys on electrical plant and systems and provide reports as requested by engineering management
  • Provide holiday and sickness cover for shift colleagues
  • Perform other reasonable duties as agreed with EMCOR management
Requirements
  • 18th edition electrical C&G certificate or equivalent
  • Qualified to C&G 2360
  • Experience in building services maintenance and repair
  • Good all-round knowledge of facility management and building services engineering
  • Ability to establish, implement, and monitor high standards of excellence in areas of quality, safety, and operational performance
  • Full and thorough understanding of operational health and safety
  • Good decision-making and communication skills
  • Resilience under pressure and ability to converse confidently with staff, suppliers, and customers at all levels
